Married: Abby + Conor
Abby loved different elements of three of my Collection dresses, so we combined the bits she loved best to make something totally perfect for her. We used the silhouette of Dahlia, the flowing, panelled silk-satin skirt of Larkspur, and the lace of Lilac. Abby liked the slightly longer length of the original Lilac over-dress, so we made hers a similar length, but with an added waist seam and a tiny bit of flare over the skirt.
Abby made a super-last minute decision to change the front neckline from a boat-neck to a V, so last minute in fact that I had to cut the final dress with her in it, and I confess that my hands were more than a little shaky as I did so! To all future brides: this is not recommended as it is not good for my health!
Abby and Conor are originally from Aberdeen, but live together in Leeds, and chose to get married in beautiful York. Grays Court made the most stunning venue – such a gorgeous building inside and out, set in the shadow of York Minster. Their day was elegant and classy, with cream flowers and dusky pink bridesmaid dresses, and a cake which makes my mouth water! Abby and her bridal party were beautified by the fantastic Jenn Edwards Team, who did a wonderful job, as always.
