Married: Christina + Graham

CGBlog1

Christina loved the idea of a two-piece dress, and was keen to combine pattern and lace to create something uniquely hers. She loved the delicate geometric design of the lace I’d used for my Larkspur top, and so we set about trying to find a patterned silk that would complement it. Christina found lots of options online, but when the swatches arrived, we both fell for this blue, green and gold floral patterned silk immediately.

Christina’s floral silk slip was based on my Camellia design, with the back and sides cut a little higher. To be worn over the top, I made her a lace dress with a boat-neck, half-sleeves and a gently gathered skirt. The simple shape of the over-dress showed off the lace beautifully, and combined with the floral patterned slip created a stunning effect.

Christina and Graham married at Halifax Hall in Sheffield. They had a first look ahead of their vows, before walking up the aisle together (my husband James and I did this, and it was totally perfect for us too!). Christina’s Scottish and Graham is American, so family and friends travelled from far and wide to celebrate with them.
