Married: Claire + Neil
Claire contacted me just five months before her wedding, after I was recommended to her by a collegue. She hooked me in from her first email with talk of her cliff top wedding in Cornwall, so I was powerless to resist her short deadline…
Claire’s favourite gown was Larkspur, but she also loved the delicate lace of my Lilac lace over-dress, and so we settled on a shorter version to be worn tucked into her skirt, with added half-sleeves which showed off the detailed scallop edging of the lace. We added detail with a row of small pearl buttons down the top’s centre back, and a silk-satin sash to be worn around the waist. Claire also opted to swap Larkspur’s original pale pink silk-satin for oyster – perfect for her Autumn wedding by the sea.
Claire and Neil were married at the Polurrian Bay Hotel in Cornwall. The hotel is perched on top of a cliff and overlooks a sandy beach: such a stunning place to get married. Claire’s had a soft spot for this part of Cornwall since she was a child, and I can see why. Claire and Neil chose Stewart Girvan to take their pictures because they loved the way he captured the Cornish landscape in his photographs – his portraits of them out on the beach are absolutely heavenly.
Thanks so much Stewart Girvan Photography for these stunning images.
