Married: Jen + Chris

Jen came to see me on a friend’s recommendation, just as I was mid-way through my new Collection. She loved Dahlia as soon as she tried it on and decided to go ahead there and then, but was tempted to change the lace or switch the colour of the silk.

Once my new Collection was complete, Jen loved the new dresses too, and asked to come back to try them on and check she didn’t want to change her mind. Although Jen decided to stick with Dahlia, we altered the neckline to be more rounded, like that of her second favourite Peony.

Jen and Chris were married at The Cricket Inn in Sheffield, and chose Friday the 13th November for their wedding day – their baby girl Freyja’s first birthday. Freyja made the most beautiful teeny bridesmaid, and had her own little party in the afternoon complete with a hedgehog birthday cake, before being whisked off home to bed by her gran so that her parents could let their hair down for the evening.

Jen and Chris’s wedding was laid back and fun-fillled, with plenty of speeches and laughter. It even included the bride and groom limbo-ing back down the aisle after they’d made their vows – a new tradition perhaps?! And Jen tells me this should be a new marketing campaign for my dresses: comfortable enough to limbo in!

Thanks so much to Jen’s very talented friend Danni Turnbull for these fantastic images.
