Married: Phoebe + Arya

Phoebe Blog 1

Phoebe lives in London and travelled up to see me after falling for my dresses online. At her first appointment she opted for my Peony separates and booked me immediately, but later reconsidered her choice, and we eventually settled on her bespoke separates.

We used the repeated scallop lace from my Dahlia dress to create a fitted lace top, lined in blush pink silk, with a row of pearl buttons down the back. I made two skirts for Phoebe: a panelled blush pink silk-satin skirt for the daytime and an A-line below-the-knee lace and silk skirt which matched her top. In the end, Phoebe wore the long silk skirt all day and all night, as she felt so comfortable in it and forgot all about changing.

The silk-satin skirt was based on my Larkspur design, with less flare in the panels, a small puddle train and a shorter front hemline to show off Phoebe’s rose gold shoes (she also had two pairs of stunning heels to wear – one comfier than the other!).

Phoebe had commissioned an incredible bespoke hand-beaded headpiece by Clara Francis, and the pink and purple tones of it picked out the blush pink of her silk skirt and lace top lining perfectly. She also wore a lace edged veil I ordered for her from Helen Martin Veils.

Phoebe and Arya were married at the strikingly beautiful Tunnels Beaches in Devon. Their ceremony was held outdoors, and their photographer Andy Gaines made the most of the moody skies, epic beach views and glorious sunset. These two both work in the music industry, so records featured in their decor – and as a base for their brilliant cake-topper likenesses!
