Married: Rachael + Rich
Rachael wore my Larkspur separates – the perfect choice for her laid back summer wedding. We agreed on a few design alterations to make them just right for her. I changed the skirt colour from pale pink to oyster silk-satin, a beautiful colour that has a metallic tone when it catches the light. For the lace top, I used the scallop at the hem, made a boat neck at the front and a deep curved V back, which were finished with a silk bound edge. A row of small pearl buttons down the back added detail. Rachael wore her top untucked, with a pale silver silk ribbon around her waist.
Rachael and Rich married at The Millennium Galleries in Sheffield. Their day was relaxed and full of fun, with lots of readings and speeches delivered by their favourite people. Rachael swapped her beautiful high heels for her trusty Converse to better enjoy herself, and finished the night crowd-surfing over their guests!
For their portraits, Rachael and Rich headed over to the iconic Park Hill flats which overlook the city. I love these shots – especially the ones that capture the movement in Rachael’s skirt. Unusually, the pair had these shots taken before their ceremony, giving them some much-appreciated time together before they headed up the aisle hand-in-hand (my husband and I walked up the aisle together too, so I whole-heartedly approve!).
Hair and make-up duties were provided by my friend Jenn Edwards and her excellent team. Jenn also captured a few colour portraits of Rachael, which I’ve added to Rachael’s page along with her beautiful professional images from Now Then Photography to show the colours of her gown.
Huge thanks to the amazing Now Then Photography for these images.
