Married: Rebecca + Timothy
Rebecca got in touch after seeing my dresses on Love My Dress, and now her fabulous wedding has been featured on that very same blog!
Lovely Rebecca and her equally lovely mum first came to see me when I was heavily pregnant was my son Rex – I had to warn her that I might need to cancel at short notice in case anything happened sooner than expected! They were sweet enough to bring along some baby bibs to our initial consultation – I really do have the best brides!
Rebecca looked amazing in each one of my dresses she tried on, but fell in love for Wild Lupin, which her mum and I both agreed was the one for her. She decided to switch the original gold silk underneath the lace for ivory, which gives the dress a more classic, elegant feel. We lowered the waist to sit on Rebecca’s natural waistline, and made the top more fitted and covered in lace rather than the exposed silk of the original version. We added a small V shaped puddle train and changed the double scallop edges of the triple tiers for single scallops, to simplify the lines of the skirt.
Rebecca and Timothy got married at St Michael and All Angels’ Church in Leeds, and her floor length veil and flower crown added effortless sophistication to her dress, which worked beautifully in this traditional venue. Their reception was held at the modern White Cloth Gallery, a blank canvas which Rebecca and Tim made their own with tables laden with candles and bunches of gypsophelia, along with fabulous badges, temporary tattoos and instax cameras to keep their guests amused.
