Married: Sarah + Theo
I met Sarah at The Vintage Wedding Fair in Harrogate, where she fell madly in love with my Honeysuckle wedding dress and commissioned me to make her one on the spot.
Sarah loved the way my sample dress fitted her – a slightly more relaxed fit on her than I’d made it previously – so we agreed I’d make one for her that fitted the same way. She chose a gorgeous ecru antique lace trim from my collection, which worked beautifully with the oyster coloured silk satin and the slightly peach tones of the antique veil (also picked up at The Vintage Wedding Fair – a very successful shopping trip!).
Sarah and Theo were married last summer at The Study in Minto in the Scottish borders. This incredible building is owned by a friend of the couple, and made a fantastic, quirky venue for their ceremony. Sarah adores horses, and was surprised with a horse and carriage to transport her and Theo to their reception, and I love her face as she spots it arriving – pure joy! Their relaxed marquee reception took place in the grounds of their friend’s house, complete with trampolines and a bouncy castle to keep the kids entertained.
Extra special thanks to Sarah’s lovely step-dad Peter, who collected Sarah’s dress for her and later delivered me copies of her wedding pictures. As they live up in the Scottish borders, these weren’t short trips, and his efforts are massively appreciated!
Many thanks to Kathryn White Photography for these stunning images.
