Married: Sarah + Scott
Sarah got in touch by email after she’d seen photos of my own wedding on the S6 Photography blog. I invited her over to meet me and see my dresses for herself. Sarah had visited several wedding dress shops and tried on lots of different dresses, but hadn’t found anything that felt right.
Sarah tried on my Honeysuckle and Wild Lupin dresses. She loved both dresses, but that felt like Honeysuckle worked best for her as she didn’t her petite frame to be overwhelmed by the lace detail.
After a brief flirtation with ivory silk and a deeper V back, Sarah decided to stick with the heavy oyster satin I’d originally used – it really is such a gorgeous colour! Sarah chose one of the most beautiful antique lace trims I’d sourced in London – we decided to make it hang as far as possible down her back to create a sort of alternative veil effect. The made to measure end result was stunning.
Sarah’s a real trooper – she managed to stay remarkably calm during her wedding planning, despite the fact that her original venue went into administration only a few months before her April wedding. Luckily Sarah and Scott managed to find a beautiful alternative at Crow Hill – a venue they preferred to their original. More bad luck struck when their little boy Freddie broke his leg at nursery the day before their wedding, but once again calmness prevailed.
