Dress Details
Abigail had originally bought a dress elsewhere, but had serious second thoughts about it, and ended up booking in just five months before the wedding to try on some of my designs. She and her mum both fell head over heels for Clematis, and asked me to make one in time for her April wedding. Abi’s Clematis was just as originally designed – with the subtle combination of two French laces on the top edged with modern bound seams, cut-out lace back and that opulent full circle skirt – which moves and hangs so well – in champagne silk-satin. Abi added one of our petal beads belts which we sewed into place on her gown’s waist, and a pair of silver and pearl earrings from our accessories collection, created for her by Sheffield jeweller Jennie Gill.
The Wedding
Abigail and Charlie married at the beautiful country house estate Pauntley Court in Gloucestershire. Their ceremony was in the Norman church on site, and they celebrated in the main house afterwards. A truly unique and historic venue, set in beautiful grounds.
