ALYS
Alys chose our Lunaria gown and kept everything just as it was designed.
Alys’s original wedding for 2020 was planned for a Liverpool warehouse, but Covid changed everything, and their actual wedding in 2022 was a completely different affair. Alys and Pedro married at the wonderful Samuel Worth Chapel at Sheffield General Cemetery, where florist and graphic designer Alys and her lovely mum created all the stunning florals which really made their wedding sing.
A tiny ceremony in the Chapel was followed by a drive out to the Peak District for some stunning portraits, then evening guests arrived back at the venue for food and celebrations, with everything styled to intimate perfection.
“They felt like just like the best magical dresses, not like your typical stuffy wedding dresses. I think I thought I’d always just get married in a nice dress not a proper wedding dress, so Kate’s dresses just felt perfect. I knew I would feel like me in it and it wouldn’t take over but would also make me feel so special and be a little bit wow. I’d also not seen the same thing anywhere else. Also I just really loved Kate and the whole experience. I felt she got me, I felt totally at ease. I was dreading a typical wedding shop experience, but as soon as I came in I was like ahhh this is me. I also really like how you have a variety of brides on your Instagram, but without making a thing of it. I never felt big or uncomfortable because I’m not a size 8 and I felt your dresses were designed to look good on everyone.” Alys
