Amy loved the elegance of Geranium, but decided to switch the original high front neckline for a V, which we bound cleanly in silk. Amy also loved the rich sea-pearl silk of Viola, so her version combined a sea-pearl skirt, bodice lining and buttons with champagne-toned versions of the laces paired together for Geranium.
Amy was wonderfully accommodating with her fittings when lockdown restrictions meant she couldn’t travel up to me as planned – I posted a revised toile down to her to try on at home in London, and we had a Zoom fitting session rather than an in-person one.
Amy and Tom were settled on a small wedding, but had to push theirs back six weeks when Covid maximum numbers weren’t increased in time for their original date. They married at The Chimney House in Sheffield, then walked over to their sister venue The Mowbray for feasting and celebrations, with their favourite thirty.
