Carly
Carly loved the lace used on the top half of Astilbe, and the bronze coloured silk used on one of my Camellia slips. We made her a bespoke gown that combined the two – a waisted slip dress with the Astilbe lace on top, finished with a row of silk-covered buttons and roleau loops, and a metallic lace belt which I secured to the dress.
Carly and Pedro chose to marry at the stunning Thornbridge Hall in the Peak District. Theirs was an October wedding, and the Autumnal colours in the impressive gardens looked incredible, complementing Carly’s colour scheme perfectly.

Upon arriving at Kate’s equally beautiful studio (adorned with the most stunning and quirky plant collection), I fell further in love with all the dresses. Kate helped me arrive at the perfect design, combining elements from existing dresses, encouraging me with putting my own twist on them, and being unbelievably skilled at ensuring I ended up with my perfect dress. I adored popping to the studio for fittings (and having weird and wonderful conversations) and I miss my visits terribly! My dress was a masterpiece and I felt incredible in it on our wedding day. Kate is an absolute superstar; she’s a phenomenally talented designer, delightfully idiosyncratic and one of the most excellent people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.” Carly
