Cathie
Cathie first fell in love with my Peony separates when she saw them on my website, and knew they were perfect for her as soon as she tried them on.
We made the back of the silk slip a tiny bit higher for Cathie so she was able to wear a suitable strapless bra, but other than that everything was made exactly as I designed it. Cathie chose a beautiful floor length silky veil from my studio samples which we had hand-dyed to cream to complement the warm tones of Peony’s blush silk slip and lace top.
Cathie made the most of the different looks that Peony’s separate pieces offer: spending most of the day in the whole outfit (slip, lace top and tulle skirt), she took off the skirt to create a more elegant and simple look for the evening, and later wore the slip alone too.
Cathie and Neil were married in February at Middleton Lodge, a stunning Georgian country house in North Yorkshire. Cathie styled this elegant venue beautifully, with heaps of gathered pine cones, glass jars, candles and classic tartan ribbons. She also knitted a teeny posy for her little flower girl, plus the buttonholes for the groomsmen.
“I cannot tell you how absolutely beautiful all of our family and friends thought my dress was. I was blown away by all the compliments and that is down to you! I am so grateful to you for making my beautiful gown and it has been an absolute joy to be one of your brides and get to know you.” Cathie
