Joanne
Joanne chose my Peony separates for her wedding to Luke: top in a bold floral lace, polka dot tulle gathered skirt and silk-satin slip.
We made some changes to the lace top to make it exactly what Joanne was looking for; adding a deep V at the back neckline, widening the front neckline slightly in response, lengthening the top’s hem and adding sleeves.
Joanne and Luke were married at the stunning Hill Top Country House in Cheshire. They were both incredibly hands-on with their wedding planning, and made or collected almost all of the decor themselves. This wedding was full of personal details and touches – the RSVPs were returned by guests adorned with drawings which were displayed on the marquee walls, and the guest book was a globe which messages were left on in marker pen.
Best of all though was the cake theme which ran throughout the day. Friends and family were invited to bake for their Great Wedding Bake Off, and Joanne and Luke judged the entries and awarded best and worst prizes. The wedding rings were even kept safely on a bourbon biscuit shaped ring cushion.
“I love you. I love your dress. Everybody loved your dress. When are you making my next one?? You are a truly talented woman! I'll save my gushing for an official thank you.” Joanne
