Making my own wedding dress was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Fitting to yourself is not easy, and neither is keeping everything effectively hidden from your husband-to-be!
My own wedding dress was made from oyster coloured heavy crepe backed silk. It was cut on the bias to create a flowing 1930s inspired silhouette. The front of the dress was high necked and lightly gathered under the bust. A diamond shaped panel at the waist extended to form two triangular side panels. The back of the dress was cut into a V and edged with antique lace trim. The trim was gently gathered over the shoulders to form floaty sleeves.
This dress became Honeysuckle - the first dress in my first Collection. View more images of Honeysuckle here
