Lucy
Lucy fell for my Honeysuckle bias-cut silk gown immediately, and we worked together on changes to the original design to make a version perfect for her. We created a sweetheart neckline with slim shoulder straps, which sat above a diamond-shaped waist panel. At the back, we deepened the V neckline, and added a lace trim which I enclosed in the seams of the gently curved V. Lucy chose ivory silk satin instead of oyster, and a row of handmade satin covered buttons down the back finished the gown off beautifully. From my selection of veils, Lucy chose a stunning lace trimmed veil which was made to order for her from HM Veils.
Lucy and Pete were married at Ellingham Hall in Northumberland – a totally stunning stately home which they took over for the weekend. Their wedding was an elegant affair: black ties for the men and five gorgeous bridesmaids in mismatched navy blue dresses. Decor was simple and classy – lots of green foliage, pinecones, logs and lanterns. Lucy and Pete’s huge smiles on every picture really say it all – a perfect wedding day surrounded by everyone they love the best.
“Any fears I had about not finding the perfect wedding dress evaporated after our first phone call. Then, when Mum and I came to see you, I left knowing I could have a dress even more beautiful than I’d imagined and that you were the woman to make it happen. I can’t describe how incredible it was to wear. It truly is a work of art and everyone commented on how beautiful it was. I never wanted to take it off! Nothing was too much trouble – I will always be grateful to you for making it such a wonderful experience for me and Mum. I know you have a hugely successful career ahead of you and I will always be proud to say (boast!) that I wore a couture Kate Beaumont gown on my wedding day!” Lucy
