Rebecca loved my Wild Lupin dress and made a few changes to make it her own. We switched the gold silk underneath the lace for ivory, to give the dress a more classic and elegant feel. We made the bodice more fitted and totally lace-covered, and lowered the waistline to sit on her natural waist. I also changed the double scallop edges on the skirt for single ones to simplify the lines of the skirt, and added a diagonally pointed puddle train. Despite flirting with different coloured ribbons for the sash, Rebecca decided to stick with the original oyster colour, which works as the perfect accent against the ivory silk and lace.
Rebecca and Tim got married at St Michael and All Angels’ Church in Leeds, and her floor length veil and flower crown added effortless sophistication to her dress, which worked beautifully in this traditional venue. Their reception was held at the modern White Cloth Gallery, a blank canvas which Rebecca and Tim made their own with tables laden with candles and bunches of gypsophilia, along with fabulous badges, temporary tattoos and instax cameras to keep their guests amused.
