Gemma
Gemma got in touch a few years after I’d made an Astilbe dress for her good friend Joasia. Gemma chose our Clematis gown, keeping everything as it was designed, and added one of the beautiful leather leaves belts that my pattern cutter Kate creates, along with a lace trimmed veil.
Gemma and Sam were married at the stunning Grangefields venue – a barn conversion in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Their day was a beautifully styled affair, and Joasia was one of Gemma’s two bridesmaids.
“4 years ago, when I saw Joasia get married and saw how stunning her dress was, I knew if I ever got married, you’d be the dress designer for me.
I truly felt so special in Clematis from the moment I slipped into it. Everything about the dress was just perfect! I wanted a wedding dress fit for a Poirot (as you do lol) and that it was. Vintage essence for the 21st century. The silk was pure indulgence to wear. I had so many compliments on the day about how beautiful the dress was and how unique it was.
Sam and I had our fair share of glitches in the run up to the wedding, but one thing I had full confidence in was you and the dress. From start to finish; getting transported to dress fairyland for a couple of hours to try on your beautiful sample dresses, to the luxury of being able to bespoke the fit of my chosen dress to make me feel my best, to your perfectionism to get the fit just right, the whole process was a reassuring delight.” Gemma
