Dress details
Georgia loved our bias-cut silk styles, and we made a dress for her that combined her favourite elements from my existing designs, and added in a couple of bespoke details too. Based on our Viola gown, Georgia’s version had a seam around the waist, omitting the diagonal panels that usually run down the skirt’s front and back. After some deliberation, Georgia decided to lose the lace trim altogether, and instead we covered the waist seam with a slimline plain silk belt. Lastly her three-quarter sleeves really made the gown her own – a fitted shape with plenty of room to move, and a little bit of volume at the shoulder. An elegantly understated look, all made up in our heavyweight oyster-coloured silk-satin.
The Wedding
Georgia and Anil married at Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire. Marrying in the striking blue-green library then feasting in the opulent dining hall, and exploring the gorgeous grounds for portraits, rich in Autumn colours.
