Katie in Bluebell
A minimal silk-satin slip dress with delicate lace addition for this laid-back wedding
Katie loved the simplicity of our full-skirted silk-satin slip wedding dress Bluebell, but was also drawn to the delicate laces that feature in our designs. We discussed adding some lace detail to Bluebell, and after much deliberation over which lace to choose – they’re all so lovely it’s never easy – Katie opted for the soft Chantilly lace we use on Clematis. We covered the bodice with lace, trapping the scallop edge in the front and back V necklines, and kept the silk-satin on show for the skirt, adding a row of buttons and low-key train at the back, thereby creating a bespoke Bluebell that was perfect for Katie.
Rustic barn wedding with stunning Yorkshire views, full of creative, personal touches
Katie and Jack married at the gorgeous Deepdale Farm – a rustic barn venue with glorious view over the surrounding North Yorkshire Moors. Their day was relaxed and full of personality – their heartfelt ceremony included handfasting and plenty of laughter. Katie is from a musical family and joined in with the singing choir of family and friends on the day. Plus she painted stunning miniature landscapes for each guest to keep as a wedding favour, alongside a host of other gorgeous creative touches.
