Katy chose the simple elegance of Sweet Violet as her wedding gown, and we made a few subtle changes to the design to make it just right for her; swapping the silk colour to pale ivory and using a thin gold chain to hold the shoulder together (which her mum struggled to fasten on the wedding morning without her glasses!), rather than the original silk roleau. And of course - as we always do - making it fit her petite proportions perfectly. Katy added a metallic lace belt and a scallop trimmed veil to complete her look.
Katy and Tom had initially planned a bigger wedding pre-Covid, but after delaying for a year, and needing to work around shielding, they decided to go ahead with the smallest celebration possible. Katy, Tom and their respective parents travelled down to the beautiful Hotel Endsleigh in Devon. Tom had proposed to Katy here so it was already a very special place for them, and they had the most perfect day celebrating their marriage just the six of them.
“We had such a happy, relaxed day with just our mums and dads; I'm not sure we could have enjoyed the original plan anymore. I felt amazing in my dress and it had lots of compliments. It moved so well and was so comfortable to be in (even after a year and a bit of elasticated waists in lockdown...). I was a bit sad to take it off!
I didn't think I'd enjoy finding a wedding dress, but you made the whole process such a pleasure; I loved seeing my dress come together as the appointments went on and would recommend you to anyone in a heartbeat.” Katy
