Dress details
Madeleine loved our relaxed, understated Chrysanthemum gown as soon as she tried it on. With three layers of silk used to create that full circle skirt, this style moves like a dream. Maddie opted to shorten the sheer georgette sleeves a little to work better on her petite frame, and added in a picot edge veil to finish her look. The Nottingham lace trim used around the front and back necklines made this style all the more special, as Maddie and partner Joe live together in Nottingham.
The Wedding
Maddie and Joe were torn between two totally different wedding plans – a tiny version and a much larger one, and after plenty of deliberation the larger one won! Having legally married in Nottingham a few days earlier, they had an outdoor celebrant led ceremony and marquee reception, kindly hosted at a friend’s home – Middle End Farm in the Cotswolds. Groom Joe is a director and guests were treated to live music performed by Billie Martin – one of the artists he’s created videos for and a firm favourite of Maddie’s.
