A backless silk and lace wedding dress for an intimate wedding
Sarah came along to our first ever Sample Sale and chose our silk and lace Dahlia gown, which suited her down to the ground. Dahlia has an open V back, in contrast to the high neckline at the front, and the skirt is full and made up from six panels of beautiful lace, fully lined in champagne-toned silk-satin.
We tweaked the fit to ensure the sample dress was just right for her, shortening the length of the bodice, tightening at the waist and shortening the hem.
Sarah picked a stunning Debbie Carlisle Amelia leaf crown in silver which looked stunning worn with her hair down and waved, and a pair of Esska heels.
Sarah is a keen sewer too and made a quilted cotton jacket in a blue floral Liberty print, which she wore over her silk and lace wedding gown after their ceremony. Partner Matt wore a tie and pocket square with his Tweed and Groom suit that she’d made from the same fabric.
Relaxed Norfolk micro-wedding in stunning garden setting
Sarah and Matt travelled to Norfolk with their closest family for an intimate ceremony at the beautiful Hautbois Hall. Married outside in the incredible gardens, they stayed in nearby cottages, then had a party amongst friends and wider family back at home in Sheffield later – where Dahlia happily had its second outing!
