These charms are designed and handmade by Mikaela Lyons in her Birmingham studio. She’s made them to be clipped onto a favourite chain or bracelet, to enable versatile, changeable new looks to be created.

The key is a replica of a pocket watch key from the 1700’s, which would have been used to wind a watch and enable it to keep time. For Mikaela, it serves as a reminder of the preciousness of time - a reminder to make the most of what we have, cherish the day and live in the moment.

The clasp used is an Albert Swivel – historically used on pocket watches so that the wearer could pull their watch out of their pocket and turn it to see the time, without the chain getting twisted.

Silver: Solid sterling silver.

Gold: Solid sterling silver - plated in responsibly sourced and ethical 24ct Gold.

Mikaela’s gold pieces are classed as Vermeil, this means that the base metal is Sterling Silver and there has been 2.5 microns of 24ct gold deposited on its surface.
