Dress Details

Emily had been to the studio before as a guest of her friend Stephanie whose dress I’d made back in 2017, so it was a real joy to hear she’d kept me in mind for her future wedding dress needs… Fast forward five years, and Emily visited as the bride, accompanied by Steph of course! Emily chose Honeysuckle, and loved all the details just as they were designed but chose to lower the back V so it plunged to just above her waist. Honeysuckle is a vintage-inspired bias-cut silk gown with subtle panelled pattern-cutting detail, gathering under the bust and lace trim running down the V back. Emily kept the oyster-coloured luxuriously heavyweight silk-satin, which worked so well with her colouring. She added in a lace edge mantilla veil, which worked so well to complete her look.

The Wedding

Emily and Eliot were married at two of Sheffield’s iconic Kelham Island venues – their ceremony was at Kelham Island Museum, and their reception at The Mowbray. Gorgeous florals by Swallow & Damsons, an illustrator on hand to paint portraits of their guests, and a ceilidh to finish – what a celebration!

Kind Words

“It’s been a lovely whirlwind since Sunday but I just wanted to get in touch to say thanks again for making my wedding dress. Sunday was absolutely the best day of our lives and we’re still riding the high! I’ve followed you on Instagram for years and always knew I would have one of your dresses if I ever got married. It was a bit of a dream come true to get to wear a Kate Beaumont dress to my wedding on Sunday! I had so many compliments, and the dress genuinely moved a couple of people to tears! Best wishes and lots of love” Emily
