Lissie got in touch only 3 months before her wedding in something of a panic – she'd bought  a sample wedding dress which had been damaged beyond repair while in for alterations. Understandably, Lissie was very upset and worried she wouldn’t be able to find a replacement in time.

Lissie fell in love with the fit and colour of Honeysuckle. I was able to squeeze Lissie in, and we worked together to make a few changes to the original Honeysuckle design – adding a V front neckline, and selecting a cotton antique lace trim to run around the front and back necklines.

Lissie already had her accessories sorted – the most beautiful embroidered antique lace veil which complemented the oyster silk of the dress perfectly – plus an original wax flower headband, stunning earrings and pale grey Rachel Simpson shoes.

Lissie and Raoul were married at the incredibly beautiful Victorian Conservatory at Wentworth Castle. Guests then boarded their vintage double decker bus and headed to The Chimney House for dinner and speeches, and then on to Tamper: Sellers Wheel for the evening reception, which featured cocktails and a vintage swing band.

“Thank you so much for being so patient and understanding over the last few months and for rescuing me from my first wedding dress disaster! I was so lucky to have spotted you and right from the first email I knew I was in safe hands. My dress is beautiful. It fits like a glove and makes me so happy I don’t want to take it off! Thanks again Kate – you’ve made me feel like a bride!” Lissie
