Harriet loved the floral lace and elegance of Geranium, but also the warm tones of Viola’s silk, so we settled on a bespoke version that combined both. Harriet’s dress evolved along the way – and it was quite a journey, as her wedding was put back a year thanks to Covid delays – giving Harriet plenty of chance to second guess her decision-making, but the end result really couldn’t have been more perfect for her.

We opted to stick with one lace on the top instead of Geranium’s combination of two, so took the floral lace lined in silk up to the front neckline and V’d to the back waist, then left it sheer at the sleeves, which finished with the scallop edge just above the wrist. We bound the neckline in silk, and added more silk binding to define the waistline, over the additional lace appliqué which was placed organically from the waist down to the hips. The skirt was heavyweight silk-satin in that sea pearl shade that we’ve come to love so much, with a puddle train. And silk buttons and rouleau loops closed up the back. Harriet added a simple trailing picot edge veil to finish her look off perfectly.

Harriet and Andy were married at Aswarby Rectory, with all the bridesmaids, all the flowers, all the family and friends, and all the love. So glad they waited until they could have the day they’d planned – totally worth it.

“We had an absolutely wonderful day and the dress did steal the show a bit! I absolutely loved it and Andy thought it was perfect. Thank you all so much for making it - it was everything I could have asked for, particularly given my constant changes!!” Harriet
