Dress Details
Ruth chose our beautifully laid-back Corncockle gown for her wedding to Sam, and paired it with a pearl-adorned veil she sourced elsewhere. Corncockle is made from a soft double georgette silk, with Nottingham lace trim appliquéd on to the neckline and sleeves. The button-up front really makes this dress, and Ruth loved wearing it so much she’s since let me know she’s keen to have it dyed and shortened so she can wear it again.
The Wedding
Ruth and Sam live in up Newcastle, and married in nearby Northumberland. They chose the beautiful setting of Whalton Manor Gardens for their ceremony, which took place outside under the Italianate summerhouse, surrounded by lush greenery. Afterwards guests played lawn games and enjoyed a drink or two, before walking along to the nearby Whalton Village Hall to enjoy the reception.
