Dress details

Sam is a good friend of my wonderful pattern-cutter Kate, so we were over the moon to make a wedding dress for her. Sam chose our relaxed bohemian two-piece gown Astilbe, preferring her lace dress to have a high neckline at the front and half-sleeves – a version we’d made before for our brides Gemma and Tig.

Sam’s silk slip dress also had some bespoke modifications, we raised the super-low back of Camellia slip layer worn underneath the lace into a Bluebell style inverted V, giving her more coverage to be able to wear a bra.

She accessorised with a set of Mabel hair pins, selected from our studio samples.

The Wedding

Sam and Stephen were originally due to marry in 2020, in a totally different venue, but eventually tied the knot at glorious Hodsock Priory more than two years later than planned. A fun-filled, relaxed family wedding made all the more special for the wait.

Kind Words

“I loved every minute in my dress! It was a wonderful day, we honestly had so much fun!” Sam
