editorial
Living in Sheffield means we have plenty of access to urban backdrops and green spaces, plus the beauty of the Peak District on our doorstep, but for this shoot hair and make-up extraordinaire Jenn Edwards fancied something completely different, and headed to the coast.
dress details
The colours and textures of the cliffs and beach at Flamborough Head inspired the palette for this shoot, and I supplied three dresses that fit the brief: Amaryllis in delicious oyster silk, Hollyhock made from ivory French lace over blush pink silk, and Iris in ivory french lace and bias-cut silk. We styled the dresses with a lace trimmed cape veil and a lace trimmed veil both of which looked fantastic caught by the wind.
styling
Jenn and Natalie created looks on the models that would work in this blustery setting – wild, untamed hair paired with painted on freckles and cracked gold leaf on the eyes.
Florist Kesali created a stunning bouquet and table centrepiece featuring home-grown and foraged flowers and foliage, echoing and enhancing the coastal tones. She also made the most incredible flower crown – mixed with shells and driftwood gathered from the beach. Grey Suit Clay’s stunning tableware looked incredible in this setting – the peachy tones are created by layering up glazes on her hand-thrown ceramics, and each piece is unique.
Huge thanks to our models Katie and Megan for braving the elements on a cold and windy Spring day – they both looked incredible.
