Fiona in gladioli
An elegant cowl back wedding dress for a timeless, romantic celebration
Fiona loved the understated glamour of our elegant bias-cut silk wedding dress designs and decided on Gladioli for her big day. Cut high around the front neckline, Gladioli’s swooping cowl back is a real showstopper. Diagonal panels run from the neckline and continue over the side seams, to frame the cowl back. The subtle diagonal detailing is mirrored on the front skirt, and a puddle train at the back adds just the right amount of drama. A row of silk-covered buttons and roleau loops close up the dress at the side, and add an understated, elegant detail.
Fiona fell for one of the stunning embroidered veils that we stock in the studio, made by the incredibly talented Daisy Sheldon. Daisy worked with Fiona to refine and personalise the illustration and text included on her wildflower veil, and the soft pink tone of the tulle worked perfectly against the clean ivory silk.
One of our iridescent beads belts finished her look off beautifully, and pleased her lovely Gran no end, who was always keen for her to add in a little bit of sparkle!
Idyllic Peak District setting for a joy-filled marquee wedding, full of personal touches
Fiona and Dan were married at idyllic Heathy Lea, a stunningly romantic venue nestled in the rolling countryside of the Chatsworth estate. Their ceremony and reception were held under the marquee, which was adorned with gorgeous blooms created by florist Vert and Vase. So many gorgeous details made this wedding – Fiona said it was a labour of love pulling it all together and it absolutely paid off.
