Grunge But Make it Glam - Bold, Colourful, Nineties Inspired Photoshoot

Editorial, PhotoshootKate Beaumont

This nineties inspired photoshoot was dreamed up by photographer Gabriela – who’d shot the wedding of one of my Viola brides Debbie in the summer.

Gabriela envisaged a mixture of grunge music and glamour – clashing bright colours and Nirvana-esque styling, all mixed in with some nineties rave-inspired smiley faces.

I chose my super-simple and always cool Cosmos silk-satin slip dress for Jeannie to wear, along with the delicate Corncockle button-fronted gown. Cosmos was worn with one of my silk hair bows and the Beba veil, plus embroidered denim and leather jackets.

Gabriela handpicked a big team of ace local suppliers to collaborate on this shoot, and they really delivered on the brief – plenty of brightly coloured details to inspire future couples.
